iCon Garden Design was set up in June 2008 by Conor McGrath. The company’s head designer is fast making a name for himself within garden design circles. In the short time since moving into Garden Design, he has appeared on the RTE series ‘Supergarden and has featured in local and national press, including the Irish Independent, RTE Guide, the North County Leader, RTE’s Mooney Goes Wild and Today FM’s the Last Word. iCon Garden Design was also chosen to design and build the main garden in the Floral Tent at Bloom in 2009 and received a special commendation from the panel of judges.

The company’s ethos is simple: to provide extremely high quality design, twinned with a reliable and cost-effective construction service, with the sole aim of producing outdoor spaces that will transform the client’s garden and their lifestyle too.

We firmly believe that the vast majority of gardens in this country are completely under-utilised, even though they often account for at least 50% of private living space in your home.  Through our designs, we want to show our clients the true potential of their outdoor space.  To date we have designed and built a number of styles and sizes of gardens, but all have the same commonality of being a fully usable outdoor space to be enjoyed to its potential by the client.

Conor McGrath studied Civil Engineering in UCD, graduating in 1997. He went on to work in construction project management, setting up his own company, providing PM services to Developers and private clients alike. During his time Conor has worked on countless projects gaining invaluable experience in all aspects of design, project management and construction. Having always had a major interest in garden design, Conor completed a diploma in Garden Design and Landscaping with Limperts Academy of Design, graduating with a ‘distinction’ in 2008.
